The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident when the body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex, body deformation and loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing during cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace is designed to increase body stiffness at the mounting position.
