The vehicle body is the part subjected to the greatest loads during fast driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or intensive acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force up to 3 times greater than the other. This can result in significant twisting and deformation of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing interior chassis brace helps provide additional body rigidity.
