The vehicle body is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly noticeable when the body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer when cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This causes significant bending, deformation and twisting of the body, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Body deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing interior chassis brace is designed to provide additional reinforcement to the body at the mounting position.
