The vehicle chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or decisive acceleration.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This can result in significant flexing and twisting of the chassis or bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while driving through a corner can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing mid lower chassis brace is designed to provide additional support in this area.
