A car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer when cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force up to three times greater than the other. This causes significant bending, deformation and twisting of the chassis, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing brace is designed to reduce these effects by providing additional support for the mid lower section of the chassis.
