During fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration, the car’s chassis is subjected to significant loads caused by the transfer of the body’s weight.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can increase to as much as three times that of the other side. This causes chassis flex or body deformation, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing mid lower chassis brace helps further connect the suspension mounting points and limit unwanted body movement.
