The vehicle bodywork is the part subjected to the greatest loads when driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of bodywork weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This results in greater deformation and twisting of the bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing mid lower chassis brace helps limit such bodywork movement.
