The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in significant chassis flex, deformation and body twist, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twist during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing brace is designed to further reinforce the lower section of the chassis and reduce these effects.
