The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
During fast cornering, the transfer of mass can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This causes significant twisting and deformation of the chassis or bodywork, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace is designed to increase the stiffness of the lower part of the chassis and reduce its twisting.
