A car’s chassis is subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident when the body’s weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or sudden acceleration.
In certain situations, weight transfer during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force up to three times greater than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex, body deformation and torsional movements, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing mid lower chassis brace helps increase body rigidity in this area.
