The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads as a result of the driver’s driving style. This is particularly evident when the body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to as much as three times greater force than the other. This results in chassis flex, or deformation and torsion of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing mid lower brace is designed to reduce this deformation and provide additional chassis support. It is mounted at 4 mounting points.
