A vehicle’s chassis is exposed to significant loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and hard acceleration.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This leads to significant chassis flex, or body deformation and torsion, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing brace is designed to reduce these loads and increase the stiffness of the lower part of the chassis.
