A car’s chassis is exposed to heavy loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can result in considerable twisting and bending of the chassis or bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis twisting while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing mid lower brace helps increase the rigidity of this part of the chassis.
