The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can result in greater chassis twisting, body deformation and, consequently, a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing mid lower chassis brace helps increase body rigidity in this area.
