A vehicle’s chassis is exposed to significant loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of mass can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This causes twisting and deformation of the chassis or bodywork, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing mid lower chassis brace additionally connects the mounting points on the underside of the vehicle and helps limit body flex. It is intended for Toyota Vios and Toyota Yaris vehicles with a 1.5 engine and 2WD.
