The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of mass can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in significant deformation and twisting of the chassis, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing mid lower chassis brace is designed to provide an additional connection and strengthen the lower section of the body. The design has 4 mounting points.
