The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some vehicles, weight transfer in a corner can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more heavily than the other. This causes significant chassis flexing and deformation, as well as body torsion, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing brace helps reduce the impact of these loads on the body. The product has 4 mounting points and is intended for the Volkswagen Tiguan II (AD/BW) with a 1.4 TSI or 2.0 TSI engine in the specified drive configurations.
