The vehicle’s chassis is exposed to the greatest loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
During cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in chassis twisting and deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The mid lower chassis brace helps to further connect the suspension mounting points.
The product is intended for Volkswagen Tiguan II (AD/BW; 5-seat version) models from 2016 onwards, with a 1.4 TSI or 2.0 TSI engine and 2WD or 4WD.
