The car’s chassis is subjected to heavy loads during fast driving, mainly due to the transfer of the body’s mass during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When driving through a corner, one side of the vehicle can be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This causes the body to twist and flex, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flex during cornering can also cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear brace increases body rigidity and helps limit its twisting.
