The vehicle chassis is one of the parts subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. When cornering quickly, braking hard or accelerating, the chassis is affected by the transfer of the body shell’s mass.
When cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more load than the other. This results in body shell twisting and deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis twisting during cornering can cause poorer handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear chassis brace helps reduce unwanted body shell flex.
