The vehicle chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident when the vehicle’s body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or intense acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can result in significant bending and twisting of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis bending and twisting while cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear chassis brace helps further stiffen the body in the mounting area.
