A car’s chassis is the part of the vehicle subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident when the weight of the body is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex, body deformation and loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear chassis brace is designed to limit this deformation.
