The car’s chassis is subjected to high loads during dynamic driving, particularly due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When driving through a corner, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in greater loads, bending and twisting of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis twisting when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear torsion brace helps increase chassis stiffness around the rear axle.
