The car chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident when the weight of the body is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer while cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in increased chassis twisting, body deformation and loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This is where the Ultra Racing brace comes into its own. The rear lower brace connects the mounting points of the rear section of the chassis and helps reduce its twisting.
