The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is mainly due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In certain cases, weight transfer during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to as much as three times more force than the other. This causes considerable chassis flexing or body deformation and torsion, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear lower brace helps to limit unwanted movement of the chassis and body.
