The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is mainly due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, hard braking and intense acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This causes significant twisting and bending of the chassis or bodywork, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis twisting during cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear lower chassis brace helps limit undesirable bodywork deformation. It attaches to 4 mounting points.
