The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress during dynamic driving. This is mainly caused by the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to three times more force than the other. This causes the chassis to twist and flex, or the bodywork to deform, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace helps increase the rigidity of this part of the bodywork.
