The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When mass is transferred through a corner, one side of the vehicle can be subjected to a force up to 3 times greater than the other. This causes significant chassis flex, or deformation and torsional twisting of the body, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace helps limit these undesirable body movements.
