The vehicle chassis is subjected to heavy loads during fast driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other side. This causes the chassis to twist or the body to deform, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis twisting when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The rear lower chassis brace helps increase body stiffness in the mounting area.
