The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving, particularly due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer in a corner can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This causes significant deformation and twisting of the chassis or body, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
Ultra Racing’s brace helps further stiffen the lower part of the chassis and limit its twisting.
