A vehicle’s chassis is exposed to the greatest loads while driving. These loads are caused mainly by the transfer of the body’s mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can lead to significant chassis twisting or body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
