Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace for Citroen DS5 I

The car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.

In some cases, weight transfer during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex, or body deformation and torsion, causing the tyres to lose grip.

Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
