The vehicle’s body or chassis is exposed to significant loads during dynamic driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to 3 times greater than on the other. This causes twisting and deformation of the chassis or body, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The rear lower chassis brace helps limit unwanted body movement.
