The vehicle chassis is subjected to heavy loads during fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration due to the transfer of the body’s mass.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can lead to significant chassis flex or body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace is designed to reduce this deformation and improve body rigidity.
The product is intended for the Fiat 500C 2007– with the 0.9 2WD engine and the Fiat 595 2008– in the ABARTH 1.4T 2WD version.
