The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress during dynamic driving. This is mainly caused by the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of weight to one side of the vehicle can generate forces up to three times greater than on the other side. This causes considerable chassis flex, as well as deformation and torsional loads on the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace is designed to increase the rigidity of the rear section of the chassis. It attaches to 2 mounting points.
Suitable for: Honda Civic VIII (FD).
