Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace for Honda Civic VIII/IX (FD/FG/FB)

A car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.

When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. The result is substantial deformation and twisting of the chassis or bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.

Deformation and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.

The Ultra Racing brace helps reduce unwanted twisting of the rear section of the chassis and improve body stiffness.
