The vehicle chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest stress while driving. High loads occur mainly due to the transfer of the body’s mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When mass is transferred in a corner, one side of the vehicle can be subjected to up to three times more load than the other. This causes significant deformation and twisting of the chassis or bodywork, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis in corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear lower chassis brace is designed to reduce unwanted body twisting. It is mounted at 4 points.
Suitable for: Kia Optima IV (JF).
