The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace is designed to increase the body rigidity of the Hyundai i30 (FD). During fast driving, the chassis is subjected to high loads caused by weight transfer during fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can lead to excessive twisting and bending of the chassis, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis twisting while driving through corners can negatively affect the vehicle’s handling and contribute to understeer and oversteer.
