The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress during dynamic driving. Significant loads occur mainly due to the transfer of the vehicle body’s mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of mass can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force 3 times greater than the other. This causes substantial twisting of the chassis or deformation of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing brace helps reduce unwanted twisting of the rear section of the chassis. It has 4 mounting points and is intended for the Hyundai Tucson (TL) 1.7D 2WD and 2.0D 2WD, model years 2016–2021.
