The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace is designed to reduce body flex and twisting during dynamic driving. It is attached at 4 points.
The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is mainly caused by the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When weight is transferred through a corner, one side of the vehicle can be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This causes significant flexing and twisting of the chassis or bodywork, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis flex and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing brace helps improve chassis rigidity in this area.
