The vehicle’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident when the vehicle’s body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer while cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can cause significant chassis flexing, or deformation and torsional twisting of the bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while cornering can cause unwanted driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear lower chassis brace is designed to provide additional reinforcement to the rear section of the bodywork.
- Mounting position: rear lower chassis section
- Number of mounting points: 4
