Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace for Kia Sorento II XM/Hyundai Santa Fe II CM

The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.

When cornering, the transfer of weight can cause up to three times more force to occur on one side of the vehicle than on the other. This causes significant chassis flex, or deformation and torsional twisting of the body, resulting in loss of tyre grip.

Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
