The vehicle chassis is among the parts subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. When cornering quickly, braking hard or accelerating, the chassis is affected by the transfer of the body’s mass.
When cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can cause chassis flex or body deformation, consequently reducing tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace is designed to add stiffness to this part of the vehicle.
