The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. These loads are caused mainly by the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, hard braking or acceleration.
When weight is transferred in a corner, one side of the vehicle can be subjected to a force three times greater than the other. This causes the chassis to flex and the bodywork to deform, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis flex and deformation while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace helps increase the rigidity of this area of the bodywork.
