The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace is designed for the Lexus LS 400 (XF20) 4.0 V8 2WD, model years 1994–2000. It is fitted at 2 mounting points.
The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is especially evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex, or deformation and torsional body twist, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing during cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The brace helps provide additional support to the lower part of the chassis and reduce its bending.
