During fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration, the vehicle chassis is subjected to significant loads due to the transfer of the body’s weight.
When cornering, weight transfer can in some cases cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can result in excessive chassis twisting and body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace is designed to add rigidity to this part of the body.
