The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident when the body weight shifts during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.

When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in greater deformation and twisting of the chassis or body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
