The vehicle’s chassis is one of the most heavily loaded parts, as it is affected by the transfer of the body’s mass during hard cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
During cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes twisting and deformation of the chassis and consequently poorer tyre grip.
Twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace helps increase the rigidity of the rear part of the body.
