The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly noticeable when the body mass is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in greater chassis twisting, body deformation and loss of tyre grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace is designed to provide additional support for the rear section of the body.
