A vehicle’s chassis is subjected to high loads while driving, especially due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in greater deformation and flexing of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis flex while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The rear lower chassis brace helps further connect the mounting points and reduce unwanted body movement.
This version is intended for the Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W203) with the C32 3.2K engine and 2WD.
- Mounting position: rear lower chassis brace
- Number of mounting points: 2
